I read recently that a guy can easily make .25-06 cases from .270 Winchester cases by running the .270s into the .25-06 resizing die. Bottom Line: It works. Since I had lots of 270 cases on hand, I ran a batch through the .25-06 resizer. The 270 case ...

The 87 grain Hornady....
Just trim to min case length and you are good and wears a 4X-12X scope.
Using 30-06 I had to usually ream the necks..but with the 270..no such problem .
Adam..like you I used a bunch of 270 cases for 25-06 many years ago..

Getting 45 Colt cases preped for loading. Put the 45 mandrel in the RCBS rotory trimmer. Mandrel will not go into the case mouth These are only once fired cases.
What's going on? Wondering if dimensions of the mandrel is off?

I trim my rifle ....
Since then I have for no real gain.
I did all 400 cases.
I did this many a moon ago with my .41 Mag brass .
If you sized the cases before trimming (as you should), you may have a sizer that makes the case.

As the title says how many cases do you keep around per caliber, and for what reason.
I understand if you shoot comps or do training you would need more than 100 rounds to shoot an outing but what would other reasons be, to keep the loading cycle down...

4 reloading....
30-06 100 Cases
5.56/.223 200 cases
.40 S&W 400+ cases
.45ACP 500+ cases
I have not been count them until I start having to weed out cases for loose pockets, signs of case head issues, etc.
