I pretty much ignored all the WH stuff and only focused on the 40K activity in the 40K universe seems strongly tied to the Chaos gods (and possibly others) and their effects that's true....

I'd still prefer just about anythig else except because 'they're so OP... .
Plus, I guess - not a bad combination with True Grit.
Such a tactic also combines nicely with true grit.

The step-back rule at the end of a combat is carefully worded to stop additional units charging.
It’s not in the scenario, it’s the rules.
And 40k, and I think I can see where the core problem lies.
