Won't be doing much calibrating until I hit at least 50 hours, which will probably be about 1-2 months for me since I only use the projector for movie watching a couple times a week.
I had a 8350 and ...

Okay, help me decide, because I can't
The Panny or the Epson. I play (PS3) a lot, 80% of the time, rest films.
The Epson has 80ms input lag, the Panny has 40ms? I barely play online but even in offline-mode I don't like the feeling of being handicapped...

5010, because of the 3D and decent 2D (better than HW30?)
If I forget about 3D as well, my choice sending back my second AE7000U due to flickering issues and am debating on exchanging it for 5010 malfunctions.

I searched both this and the low end projector forum and couldn't find an answer so I started a new thread. My issue is that I took delivery of both an Epson 5010 and and Epson 8350. The 8350 is a great projector for the price minus poor black level. ...

Hey everyone,
I'm currently choosing between these two models (Epson 8700UB vs 5010). 3D would be fun but not really required. Black levels seem to be pretty similar and good in both cases, so I'm mainly considering the difference (very large on paper...

All my research suggests I will struggle with my 120" screen, rather than mat white .

I'm looking to buy the 5010e, but as a avid gamer, the threads here indicated a problem with input lag. I've not heard of this problem before. I have been using a Runco CL420 and XBOX360 via 720p mostly FPS type games to date and not felt it either.

I'm hopeful the 6010 has better performance than the 5010.
As good a projector as the 5010 is, there is no way around its significant input for myself.
Back up to 1080p.

Sharp used expensive level enthusiasts like you, JVC RS45 seems an excellent choice.
Resolution, w6000 seems sharper than 12kMk2.
Black level, about the same as Sharp.
