I am replacing my 6 Volt 1600 engine in my Dune Buggy. The new engine is 12 Volt and I have verified the 12 Volt flywheel teeth count. I obtained a supposed 12 Volt starter to use with the new engine. My problem is I'm not sure how to tell if the starter...

I would assume a 12v bulb would burn dimmer when only If not you'll still have to use the original senders for Fuel, Temp and Oil Pressure .
In the line from the power source to the gages.

Don't buy the batery is, 6 volt batteries have a tendency to sit around longer than 12 volt batteries do the correct size ....
If you ar buying a 6 volt or a 12 volt battery, the same things apply when buying.

I was fortunate enough to be the guinea pig for Jim Franzens new LED bulbs for 6 volt single filament cars. I just got these today and stuck them in the car in 5 minutes and let me tell you, these things are incredible! Honestly, the pics don't do them...
