A guy was telling me the other day that someone told him if you put a 12 volt regulator on a 6 volt generator it will charge to 12 volts. i really didnt know what to say since id never heard this before and never tried anything like it i just always assumed...

I'm embarassed to ask this question. Never had a 6 Volt system.
Bought my 60 all original Pan last November, and getting ready to ride it this summer. I want to get some spare bulbs. Do they have different headlight, tail light and turn signal light bulbs...

Question for the Guru's
I have 2 x 6 volt 4 AH sla's that i need to charge.
How can i charge them when all i have available is 12volt.?
I'm open to suggestions.

A power supply will not 'force' out excess current, the load (your batteries) will only regulating 7 volt charger can be....
This can then be connect to any 12v battery and your 6 volt battery they need.
Sink for the regulator.

How many volts/amps is in 6 pin PCIe?
My power supply, cooler master extreme power plus 600w has two 18A/12 volt rails and two 6 pin PCIe power connectors.
I bought xfx HD 6750 1GB DDR5 few days back it comes with one 6 pin PCIe connector.

If you want it regulated, use a 6 stage with an LDO.
Diode Cap
ESR will add up at these low currents.
Increase DC voltage for low power using a series of Doublers or Triplers...

When I get the 41 conv done, I'm going ( 04/26/12 06:04 PM ) I've used "modern" Delco 6 volt batteries for years.
As to the 6 volt batteries, I buy off brands for 50 a pop.

Please GM build the Volt to be backup power for our Homes. I think GM could build the Volt with a high voltage tap of the Li Ion battery where one could connect a 10k to 20k DC to AC converter. I don't know this for certain but if the battery can handle...
