Capital One Secured - $0 balance 2,200 limit
Capital One Platinum ( 1% cash back) - $700 balance 1,000 limit
As of 4/14/2012:
Equifax - 653
Transunion - 663
Experian - 670
Never made a late payment on my credit cards...

I was waiting for something like a 45 point score jump, based on other stuff I've read here, and my score only crawled from 712 to 718. Very surprising and somewhat disappointing.

I am new to credit, I have 1 account opened in december 2011. I used the account and paid it off in 4 months. According to the FICO formula, 1 account open for 6 months and rated for at least 3 months, according to this I should have gotten my first score...

No credit card bills, don't even own a credit card cost.

I'm confused... I know credit scores are point in time - so even using the same scoring criteria, two different services may report different scores depending on when the pull is done. But I'm signed up for both Equifax's Score Watch and myFICO Score ...

Smoothed out, so the combination of that and knowing what credit report changes are apt to trigger scoreI think that there is a bit of a delay in the updated credit reports traveling to the FICO site.

I have close to $15K credit card debt. Score right now is 670.
I have about 7K on one card that I'd like to pay off via a loan at a lower interest rate.
Are there any chances of getting such a loan in this economy?

If you really want a Capital One credit card, maybe wait a couple a years to start with a credit union.
I don't know that opening a checking account with Capital One will help you re-establish a credit relationship with them.
