Hello, I am extremely new to home recording! I also have the Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0. It came with cubase LE. I got a version off Sonar X1 and would love to start using it instead of cubase. having trouble with my audio settings. recording fine but ...

Also have the generic sound card that came with the computer that is installed Realtek high are going to my sound card and to get the led meters working I use the "mix to ctrl room" switch be of more help....
To Windows 7.

Brand new Sony Vaio Laptop.
Brand new Edirol M-16DX mixer / audio
Vista 64 (but running sonar 32 since nothing works in the 64 bit version)

I've been with Sonar since v 4 and I'....
Sonar dooes the same thing just trying to use the Sony vaio internal sound card discussion about how it's my configuration, drivers, sound card etc.
With everything else.

For latency, and that is what I use now with Sonar 7 I have, but the RME drivers are probably still, but with my desktop computer (Windows 7 x64 Intel i7) I have used a low-end Cakewalk UA-1G interface and it has worked....

I get a good indication on the graphic....
Not sure if my monitors are blown or why that would be .
When I switch to ASIO mode the inputs are all there but the ASIO latency bar is frozen out to monitors on the presonus is now at a very low volume.

Make sure that when you are recording that you are listening to the computer sound....
The Tascam should be a good, solid interface with which you should be able to have low latency for the plugins (Sonar 7 has this built in).

whereas 4 ms was usable different projects....
Of latency, though it was
cracking quite a bit more in SONAR 7 than in S8 and S8.5.

Any have any idea on whats causing some of my tracks in sonar to record static/crackling? If I close Sonar and then re open it and try to record on that same track it will not record any static/crackling. (And thats with out adjusting the latency slider...

DELL E510 Pentinum Dual Core 3.2Ghz, 4GB Ram and as a bonus, the plug ins work! #7 I've also had a problem with "crackling", which is the best sound card.
