Heres a link to what a basic proftpd.conf....
Edit the umask values in vi or something to set the permissions you need .
I would imagine that would be in a configuration file, a quick google search tells me that the configuration file is called proftpd.conf .

I have a gigabyte s775 board, but I also have a C2D E8400 chip and 4GB ddr3 in it...trying not to part it out though, interested in a combo? If that was something cheap, sure...but cheap to me is $40 LOL PMed got 30 or so to spend...sorry so broke ATM... .

You really have to trust Intel and motherboard manufacturers to keep their word on compatibility .
The board you link to requires DDR3 1600, which is the speed of the RAM you linked to .
