Well, has anybody tried this? I would like to use a braze on Dura Ace 7900 front derailleur with my XTR M980 shifters. Will this combination work?
I don't shift down to my little ring alot, but I certainly don't want to have any issues when I need to....

Before I had a SLX FD and this Dura Ace shifts much, much better.

I'm using a XT M770 shifters with a Dura Ace 7900 FD and I don't have any problem.

Contemplating the switch to Campy. I have in my possession an almost complete 7900 kit. Shifters, brakes, rear derailleur, chain. Front derailleur I think is 105 and cassette is Ultegra. I will double check all items later...

I took this cassette off my new bike before my first ride. As the title states this is a new cassette with 0 miles.
Shimano 7900 - (10 speed) 11-23 cassette. $135 OBO

Anybody who is running one of these; how long have they lasted and have you ever replaced one? I was cleaning my bike just now and noticed a couple of the teeth have slight chipping (and no, not the standard ramping and shaping that you get with these...

Been running a 53-40 and a 50-34 now for about 2 years, yeah there are signs of wear but nothing that would make me consider a replacement and I think I put in a fair few more miles than you - only just mind you... .
I really don't think you need to worry.
