I have a 3 years old ThinkCentre ( A52, type 8381 ). It has 1GB of RAM in 4 256MB sticks. According to the model spec, it supports 400Mhz DDR2 memory. I would like to increase the amount of RAM I have, given how cheap 1-2GB sticks are today. However, ...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at superuser):
Therefore, you are able to install the newer.
The front-side bus on it supports 800MHz.
Dynamic memory relies on being refreshed (or 800MHz) RAM.
External speed = 800mhz DDR = pc2-6400
Not reliably.

Fan speed is at around 60% (checked with Afterburner.
In the background, It stays at ~60C with 100% load on all cores and then becomes 800MHz with 255C within 5secs and then becomes 800MHz with 255C within 5secs.

Just keep in mind that the RAM will not operate at that speed - it is still throttled by the motherboard bus (in your case, sounds like 667 MHz). .
A: You should be fine adding 800 MHz (or higher) RAM sticks to the board .

Have you tried manually adjusting your P25 threshold level? My yagi will not pickup weather stations... .
It helps some but it's not a complete fix for the distortion .
I have a maxrad 6 element yagi for 800(824-896) that I use to minimize simulcast issues .
