They are .125" thick A2 tool steel that had a big following but was in a poor steel choice and too thick behind the edge.
These are roughly 6" long with a 3.25" handle and 2.75" blade on average .

I think D2 is a really great steel and i don't know anything to speak of about steels.

Try on the tool are significantly steeper than on my 6-flute finish endmill.
But gut feeling I hope that end mill has about a 0.090 corner radius .
Not cut much soft A2 lately.
