After the AAF is loaded Resolve fins I click on my Avid MediaFiles folder....
You can then uncheck the "Automatically import source clips into media pool" .
Go to BROWSE and add all the media to Media Pool and only then Load the AAF.

MXF What's the point?
I've been trying to figure out a decent workflow using MXF files.
We need to get audio from the MC into PT and back into the MC.
But we need to be able to relink to the original audio or it will get messed up eventually with lots...

The workflow you describe will still not work because PT will always create NEW mxf media with new names when exporting tracks as AAF.
PT exports AAF with external MXF just fine.
Not sure what you´re saying.

Resolve create a new MXF media, so you do need a new AAFIt sounds like the original AAF from Avid for this project has been deleted or moved and so Resolve location it was in it should work fine.....

Whether you generate the .mxf through AMA or RC-x it shouldn't.
Just add a good whitepaper on their website.
It makes it super easy to conform from for instance dnxhd36 mxf to graded dnxhd185 mxf.

Try exporting give PCM-MXF a try (in stead of OMF-AIF or OMD-WAV).
Check AAF Edit Protocol.

(Those are your database files) Avid will rebuild the database, and then drag the AAF folder (assuming it only has the MXFs....
You need to copy the MXF files into the Avid Media Files > MXF > 1 and delete the pmr and mdb files.
