As you guys know my ABS unit caught fire last night, thankfully its not as bad as first thought. I have been offered an ABS/STC one, would this work on my car as i cant find am ABS/TRACS ECU and pump?
Oh if anyone here has one i could really do with it...

My ABS, TRAC you're doing but I suspect you'll need new wheel hubs.
I checked loosely and everything seemed intact.

My ABS ECU has died (terminal not dry joints)
Its a 9140773 model. (1996 854 T5)
are any others compatible?

Just get an ABS ECU and pump mate, as long as its the same ie: ABS, ABS/TRACS it has to be the same.

I know the Traction control and ABS used to work like a year or so ago.
- Cleaned Ground spots
- Checked wire harness not see anything actually plugged into my rear end .
- Checked all ABS bat/ trac fuses cleaned etc.

Now im really ****ed off, just been out to pick the mrs up from work got 2 mins from home and brake pedal vibrating like mad. Got home nipped into shop, came out only too see loads of smoke from under the bonnet.

Managed to put the fire out but now the ABS/TRACS ECU and plugs are no more, as this is a ME7 car (will never buy another ....
Petrol can and a zippo then! I have the complete abs unit from our me7 should you need anything the bonnet.

Does your Sport Trac idle rough or seem to have low power?
As for the ABS....
The P0171 and P0174 codes suggest you probably have a vacuum leak or a problem with the DPFE sensor .
The scan tools at Autozone will not access the ABS system.

I just bought a 98 v70 awd had a bunch of codes when i bought it didnt pay nothin for it. since i got it i have done both half shafts, plugs and wires, air filter, oil change, struts, put on all funky, little stuff so far (waiting...

It could be the module or you possibly time to mess up any wires but i will check all abs and tracs sensors and wires and the sound it, ima put it on here when i ....
The axles correctly, or something is going on with the abs system.
