Most of the research does not contest the existence of the disorder....
Simply put ADD & ADHD are real disorders and there are people with the disorder of those diagnosed with ADD or ADHD do not in fact have either.

In his letter to my GP he says I volunteered information consistent with ASD as well as ADHD. He says his was the fact that I have changed jobs/been sacked many times and many short-term girlfriends. Aparently this shows I don't see the impact of my behaviour...

Motivation (or lack of) is a major hallmark of ADHD. In fact, so much so, Russell Barkley calls ADHD 'Motivation Deficit Disorder' or MDD. Check out this Youtube Vide

However a lot of people with adhd have paradoxical reactions to meds.
Good reactions to stimulants of any kind is not a great way of deciding if you have adhd or not.

They've established that it's not Marfan Syndrome but it is a similar, related disorder.
I have a connective tissue disorder that gives me hyperflexibility.
