It was suggested I post my question here instead of the feedback page. I can't get cable in my area so my only option is ADSL but the Telstra sales person inform me that they can't extend the deal to ADSL. This is a bit rough for those who don't have...

Add R130 Telkom tax, ADSL rental etc, etc and then all of a sudden this offering.
What a joke, "Uncapped ADSL" but you are not allowed to do this and you can only do providers offer in terms of expiry.

Just dropped the ISP portion and kept the adsl line and they haven't I was on the promo and it ended....
The modem is definately free and on paper its an excellent deal, but I would I was on the promo and it ended recently.

Wireless Router + Separate ADSL Modem (Noob) Hi,
So I've decided to spend some big bucks on a no nonsense router. I've had some range/speed problems in the past with the Linksys WAG120N.
My choice of router is the Asus RT-N56u which I've seen at the top...

DLink 2500U is a good choice for a standalone ADSL modem.

Minimise ADSL downtime while moving I'm moving house shortly, and since I work from home I want to minimise the time I'm without ADSL.

The most reliable method may well be to setup a new line and new ADSL account, could just be me blowing....
Be able to "move" the ADSL either - we had to cancel the ADSL on the old line (paying BT's cease fee ISP being dumb though?).
