If you were planning on doing "extreme" obstacles I would not recommended air springs with a valve per Air....
I have air springs in all my vehicles and supplies.
You loose a bit of flex on the suspension but its worth it .

After doing a forum search,I'm even more confused than usual.Aside from O.E.M. Ford, what would be an accepable replacement for a 1989 LSC rear air spring? Strutmasters? Arnott? or just bite the bullet and buy new Ford?Anybody have a part # for O.E.M....

FYI: Used air springs still have value on Ebay.

FWIW, my '91 LSC still has the original rear air springs on it.
Installed them.
So I was wondering if there will be a tighter feeling with my rear tires if I replace my rear air springs (bags) with actual coils. I ask because I drove in a friends TB that has rear coils and his rear end tires seem to react quicker to pot holes or ...

Envoy, with various spring rates and/or ECAS (mine has coils), the ECAS equipped models ride a bit.
I have an 03 Envoy XL. After the car sits parked for a few hours the right side sinks down and in time the whole rear sinks. I start the car and the compressor seems to be running great, and it pumps it up just fine. Perfect. I don't think this is normal...

Just like changing a coil spring on a rwd car yea did not think suncore when my rear bags wouldn't hold air any more, used the HD spring kit.

Bildro,it seems that 2wd rear spring is diff then 4wd,and ther is no listing for 2wd in either firestone or air lift for 2011 4runner....older.
