European History I'm a sophomore, but I've taken 5 AP exams already.
Was mostly in-class work that was pretty straightforward, other than outside reading.

Next year I'll be a Sophomore in HS and I am planning on taking 4 AP classes.
The ones I choose are:
AP Art History
AP US History
AP Human Geography
AP US Government(semester)
All of my other classes are regulars, and I'm on the Soccer and Track teams...

Daughter had AP classes and it seemed like she had school work all summer vacation long.
Brutal.
She'd be doing school work between pulls on the wakeboard, and would bust it out in the boat when beached at the sandbars.
Wondering if it was just her school...

One wasn't on track for it (didn't get placed into Algebra AP Stats instead.
Into Ivy-League schools with a maximum of 5 AP classes throughout their entire high school careers 2 years without taking AP Calculus.

I took ap chem this year a physics class, but if you struggled in Chem Honors, no doubt you'll struggle in AP Chem.

By the time senior year is over I counted all of the AP's which would be somewhere around 15 or 16. And no, Im not one of those kids who took 6 AP's every year.

Probably average "trying school only....
About 900,000 students each year take at least (not necessarily classes are going to be next year, my Junior year: AP Biology and AP Chemistry.
Don't even take a single AP class.

Its the question of whether to take easy classes and do well or take all "harder" classes and possibly do worse? I know college look for vigor, but do they really care for a full schedule of AP/IB classes? Is it worth taking a risk of doing an AP/IB class...

I took 1 AP class (and 2 exams) last year and 3 AP classes (5 examsWhen I was in high school, I only took AP/IB classes from sophomore year onward and did fine.
Could be overkill and not worth it.

When I was at my school's college fair, I asked a few colleges (ie NYU) if AP scores were important, and they said "just for class placement". Are AP scores also taken into a lot of consideration during the college admissions process?
