Hi,
I am using HCM 9.1 & PeopleTools 8.51
Employee login into the system and requested extended absence.
After Manager selected the work list item and hit on the approve button
then following error message pop up.
Appreciate if anybody has idea on this...

I've never been accepted in less than a week, but it's never been much more than that either .
I'll second what ceejayoz says.
I've heard of them being approved anywhere between one day and a month.
The only real answer here is "it depends".

On Windows, is there any way to programatically approve a USB device after insertion, if it is of a certain type (say Removable Drive) allow its use, otherwise not? Also not to allow running of drivers, only allow usage of the device in an approved way...

You can restrict access to removable media using GPO, but you can't specify what kind of files are allowed on the removable media or if they can execute or not .
