I am trying to use the Event Log to write some debug information and I can't make it works. It complains about not being able to find the Event Source. Do I have to install something on the OS?

I'm just wondering at what time we will actually be able to log in? I'm in the central time zone, will I be able to install and log in exactly at midnight or do we have to wait till 2 AM for the pacific time zone to roll in.
