I am trying to understand how the Pope fits in with all the rites. What if an Eastern Catholic becomes the Pope? Does he perform his liturgical/ceremonial role in the latin rite?

I suppose since it is only a canon this same thing! A few years ago, I read during the last election for the pope, someone from an Eastern.
