Acer Aspire 5315 overheating still... Help,
after upgrade from 11.1 to 11.2 my acer overheats.I cannot do anything to force cooling fan to work.
Recently I updated to newest kernel-default from Factory repo but still nothing.
Any suggestions?

I'm running OpenSuse 11.3 on this laptop as it's sole OS.
Download acer_fancontrol.tar.gz...

My friends acer aspire 5315 has completely crashed due to a fall... only the left portion of the screen is legible ( right hand side inked up) and it keeps telling me from wat i can make out to insert boot disc this is something i don't have... Is there...

You will need to buy a disk from Acer.
Check the hard disk connections.

I can't type on my keyboard without the cursor/letters jumping all around the
screen. It drives me crazy. If I don't type slowly and watch each stroke, I could be anywhere on the screen. I've even had trouble typing this message.
