If that's the case here then there is little you can do except call Acer and ask for a set of recovery disks.
Is this Acer?
Older versions 'may' have a recovery partition that you access through particular F key.

I know mine has an on/off option for Disk to Disk Recovery that has to be turned on in order to use that feature .
Get into BIOS and make sure that recovery is enabled .
