No driver required since the OS ....
Most monitors built in the last 10 years are plug and play....
It sounds like you need to update your graphic/video adapter driver rather than the monitor driver.

First of all, thank you so much for all the drivers we get here. Some people would really be screwed if they had to rely on their laptop manufacturer updating drivers...
