I think it will be quite easy....
They have good spacing and tactile feedback, with a nice easy click .
I had concerns about the buttons, but they are fine .
I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet, but I did play with one at hh gregg and picked up a brochure .

Acoustic Research Rebuild Project. I have just bought ( off Trade Me ) a rather tired AR turntable that will be my next rebuild project.
It doesn't have any ID tag, just an RA brass badge on the front, but I'm pretty sure it is an XA from the mid 70s....

ALL acoustic....
They look like european AR4x cabinets though...here's a pic of some The basic marketing and engineering premise behind AR was the Acoustic Suspension speaker invented by AR founder Edgar Vilchur.
And be acoustic suspension.

I thought I'd start a new thread covering my AR94S restoration. I bought these a couple of months ago, and just got into doing some work on them. From what I could tell, they had never been apart before, they still had the original cloth covering on them...

The AR-2 does everything beautifully but rolls....
Tough choice if it's the straight AR-2.
AR-2 series have 10" woofers, AR-4 series have 8" woofers .
Which versions? The AR-2ax is the "best" of the AR-2 series, will outperform anything in the AR-4 series.. .

Hey guys, I came across one of these at a thrift store but didn't have any cash on me at the time - they wanted like $25 for it, but I know tuners are a real funny kind of vintage thing. Some can be worth a lot and really rare - others are just old tuners...

I'm considering replacing the original woofer in the AR-5 with the AR-2x alnico/cloth surround woofer. Do any of you guys see a problem in doing so? The cabinets of the two speakers are exactly the same size. I always assumed the AR-5 had the alnico/cloth...

You might go to this site http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/ there is a lot of information on AR... .
I think the updated woofer for the 2x is the woofer in your AR-5.It is for the 2,2a and 2ax.I don't have a part # for a 2x woofer on the list that I have .

James My unit gets a lot....
Under heavy use just keep it in the cradle every night and you should be fine .
But the short answer is mine lasts about a month between charges under normal use .
This has already been covered in the main xsight thread .
