What's the easiest way to check the members of an AD Domain Group from a Windows XP or Server 2003 computer?
Preferably this would be a gui, or a one line console command (not a script).

Open Active....
You can use JiJi Active Directory Reports for checking members of Distribution Group.
It's dsa.msc and is available in the group.
"Active Directory Users and Computers" comes to mind.
On the Members tab...

Typically you will want to use Integrated/NTLM authentication so that people on computers in your domain will be automatically... .

Is there a way to view the members of an Active Directory group if you aren't a domain admin and can't log into to a domain controller?

From a computer that's a member....
You just won't.
You should still be able to use Active Directory Users and Computers to see group memberships, assuming your PC is a member of the domain and you are logged in with a domain account.
