Made it's made Koi it pumps 3200gallons strong....
Best thing to do i gather up all the specs on the pond you want to build length width and how deep then we will know the gallons and then you can start to think about how to filter the pond..

I'm interested in getting to Spectacle Ponds and not sure what is the best way to approach it.
Should I follow the creek from the southeastern end of Fishbrook Pond then bushwack south/southwestwest to the northern end of Spectacle Ponds?

Years ago, I built at 37' x 25' x [0.0 to 5'] garden pond using 45mil epdm liner. I only recently saw a catalogue of excellent bentonite clay-built ponds and now regret having used liner - or so I think, pending responses on this forum.
The down-sides...

If you do mud pond, you should be relying on ....
Due to the mud itself is the filter.
Mud ponds require lower stocking levels.
Honestly though, i would shy away, from a small size mud pond.
Is used to keep water in the ponds.

My pump sitting on a milk crate ( keeps it above any muck on the floor of the pond ) creates to a small holding tank , than the over....

I once had about 400 1/2 to 6 pound bass in a .62 acre pond.
He said he stocked HBG and LMB a few years back and his family fished out their customers that .
Out of his pond.

Many koi keepers' kois have improved drastically after putting their koi in mud ponds. But izzit ok to put goldfishes in a mud pond? Thx alot!

In Thailand and China there are many mud pond farms, and it is cheap to raise goldfish from mud pond too, they can grow much bigger from eating....
BUT they will carrry parasite, rot fin, etc problems with them too .
