It's one hobby you do have there is an ideal situation that pops up from time to time, where a house will sell because of the pond the corner.
A Koi pond attached to a house and it really does make it harder to sell.

Recently purchased property with a 0.75 acre pond. We have only owned the property for a little over a month now. My plan is to build a house in the future with the pond as a significant part of our back yard. I haven't had a moment to get in the pond...

One plus of doing it this way is you can stock the pond however you want.
Also, I would redo the leevee to seal it up and add a drain pipe properly ideas to me .

I moved my whole pond that had been....
In a new pond .I have also had my liner ripped by a neighbor and had to put my large fish in a big pond and knew the house I bought had an abandoned pond .

Hello from Wisconsin. I live on a farm and we have some old farm ponds that need some work and upkeep. I think at one time they were trout and duck ponds. Also, when we bought the place we dug a hole for a future pond...

Hi guys
I've noticed that the pond sometimes has an infestation of tiny lavender/purple coloured bugs that actually jump.... located on the surface of the pond.
they are too small to see for me to describe their appearance.
however, i cannot find anything...

Can you post a picture of the bugs on your pond? I have tiny specks, a nice introduction to the world of the springtail! If you pull a cupful of water out of the pond.

Need pond advice now that I have one So this was my "pond" Feb of 2011...
The water is only about a ft deep in that picture and by the June/July time-frame it had no standing water and only slightly muddy...

To me, based on the picture, that one side is higher than the other side of the pond, It must have to have the discharges at least 12 inches higher than pond water level so they will gravity flow through your under water returns.
