Anyone know what a good on to a system where each mealtime dose of rapid acting insulin like Novolog is tailored to match the meal remaining from the previous meal....
That you can offset something like this with an increaced dose of insulin.
A quick shout out to any type 1 diabetic guys or girls. Do you use a pump to deliver insulin or multiple injections. What are your experiences.

Take GAD test before starting insulin? I read that you should do the GAD test before starting insulin.. is this correct? Husband's endo did not tell him to wait on the insulin. thanks

Go ahead had start the insulin - it's a great tool! As a side-note: Since your husband will be using....
The GAD is a tool used to determine by adding insulin to their therapy.
You do not need to have a GAD test to begin using insulin.
