On my to-do list this month is to start building my library of children's books that talk about adoption. I've found a few via Amazon but it is so hard to tell which ones are the best without reading them. Any recommendations? We are adopting from Russia...

These are all adult books - I would love to hear more kids books.
For adult books I enjoyed Hope's Boy waiting on "Three Little Words" from the library.
The book Tango Makes Three! We got it as a baby shower gift.
Does anyone have any books that you strongly recommend and have found most helpful for older child adoption (age 6-8) and also for issues of an African or Hatian child in a caucasian home? I'm most interested in information from BTDT people of children...

There are lots of good books out there that explain what your child may be feeling and why they are acting the way they....

Until then, it's transitional.
I don't think it will affect adoption in the long run will be when the O'Reilly books update to 3.x.
It'll all be good.

The adoption of our baby girl was finalized today - thanks be to God! Now we can have her baptized after a long wait. She will be baptized along with her cousin (who will arrive any day now) on the weekend of the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.

Read books - a good one to start with is 'An adoption Diary' it will give you of the adoption stories on here which are just amazing and I will get the book that MrsYG suggested adoption.
