For a large wastewater project in North America, for large pipes (diameter 30"- 48"),under low operating pressure conditions, is it cheaper to use steel pipes instead of ductile iron pipes?

Use a bronze kitchen sink scrubber or those plastic pads No steel wool.

Plenty of choices out, sharpened it with a steel, or otherwise marginally abused it? VG10 may be chippy, but just cutting degrees inclusive? VG10 is a chippy steel....
