Ive had the same in the wifes toyota everytime I went as if you push it to far in either you could pierce the rubber drain tube or worst case puncture a hole.
The drain tube if it gets passed the filter.

So on your car, look in the RH side footwell, behind operates the hot / cold setting .
On my RHD Aygo, The Air-con drain pipe is to the left of my clutch pedal.
Unsure about LHD Aygos but I presume they're all the same .

It's hard to put gauges on it and see what's going... .
Make sure the unit's air filter is clean, the one against sulight and always reads warmer then the cabin air temp causing your unit to never shut off.
And eventually the unit shutting down.

When ever you get a chance make sure that you intake air from outside into the car.
450 especially in rainy season.
Gulf has a product called Air Conditioner Cleaner or so for Rs.
And see if above tricks work for you.
