Air conditioner hot air Okay, so after a day of work, in which my car is chilling in the sun, I turn my car on and crank up the air conditioner. However the first ~5 minutes is usually hot air being blasted into my eyes. After this time, it cools down...

With my red TL last week - the car had been in full sun for 4 hours, air temp was 30C....roof temp hot, the cold air warms up as it blasts through the ducts, once they are cold you will get cold air that - as above, windows down ....
Anybody have on installed in their prewar buick? I assume you can get a 6v model? I want something I can take out later...but Im thinking its gonna be tough driving the 40 without ac this summer.

You would want a power conditioner, not a UPS for such a situation, and even then over time the air-con as he has done.

That's one of the causes of damaging....
90% of return air grills have a filter They have them.
Most units come the return air grill up stream of the unit.
What does it filter? Raw water? -Chris He is talking about return air filters.
Has anyone here had any hands on experience with the portable A/C units on the market today? Looking to add one to my shop and would like to get some feedback beforeI jump.

To keep in mind that these units are constantly exhausting conditioned air during their operation it has to cool the air that leaks in to replace the air it exhausts.

I guess a clogged drain hole is the easiest thing to check for so when I get it cranked.

It is possible that the drain hole is clogged with debris or you are unlevel.

It is mounted tilting downward, which from the inside, you see a styrofoam area with an opening in the middle where you can see the fan in the air conditioning unit.
