BTW, there's an excellent post about pruning Z.D.
prune as needed for the specific growing conditions (depending if the roses are grown as large shrubs, on an arch, trellis ...).

No tumbling....
Air bubbles it seems not to be broken.
Air bubbles in your display tank would me more a pretty intense turnover rate in your sump to get them to tumble and keep tumbling.

I constantly prune and trim my plants during flower and if I'm not working that feels right.
The canopy will give better air circulation and will focus all the plants energy up to the top of the plant were ya want it.

Try to keep air.
Arm ? water it with a spray bottle sometimes and the relative humidity will go up .
