Hi Guys,
I have a burgler alarm already installed into my house but it doesn't work, previous owner said it hasn't worked for years. The power to it has been switched off plus I do not know the key code to the system.
Can anyone recommend a good alarm...

I think the company has gone bust so looks like i will need a totally new system.

If you have one that involves steel doors locking the place tight, then yes -- your alarm system will most likely be able to prevent break ins are par for the course for those....
Depends entirely on the alarm system.

Hi guys, last night I thought I would test my alarm, not heard it. I locked by the keys lock button, two presses. Then unlocked it using thekey itself. Yet no alarm noise. It's a ex 1.8 2008. Will it have an alarm or is it broke? Or am I testing it wrong...

Do the indicators flash when you lock the car? Does the little red alarm armed light on the dash flash when the car is locked?
You could try locking yourself in the car opening it before unlocking with the key....
It will have an alarm yeah.
