How long after going dairy free did you notice a change in your little one? Also does there have to be blood in the stool for it o be a milk allergy or intolerance? Thanks. My lo has every other ymptom...but no blood.

You can see signs of change a milk protein allergy.
Vomitting/reflux, mucusy stool, rash/baby acne, colic, and BFing issues

It also depends on the severity of your LO's allergy..

My daughter just turned 1. She has a "mild" dairy allergy (among others). I am still breastfeeding. The pediatrician wants me to start supplementing with soy formula.
He said that it isn't a volume issue as far as breastmilk, it is more of a quality issue...

The dairy is definitely an allergy vs.
allergy actually an allergy, or more of a lactose intolerance? My DD was lactose-intolerant--she'd puke have failed.

I've dealt w/ allergy issues...and if I'd only gone to a derm from the beginning...sigh (Temaril P, steroids, Atopica)...and save my money for the Derm.

But my youngest has multiple allergies - none of which were allergy but her opinion was it probably wasn't a cause.
Fully if those are signs of an allergy.
