To be honest, as much as I love Altecs, I don't like A7s unless - indeed, I've convinced myself that one can identify recordings mastered on 604 or 604 speakers... Small room - 604, definitely.

Altec 604 new and old models Hi, have you ever compared old Altec 604 drivers and new GP Altec 604 8h-3 or 604 8h-2? Vintage Altec 604 really worth buying? It more reliable to buy new drivers...but i am not sure that they sound that good. Please advice! Altec 601 I just aquired 2 Altec 601 Z duplex speakers, both in excelent condition. Anyone has the TS parameters? or any box ideas? I saw many for the 604 duplex series, but I guess both have different TS specs.
