To use the same concept on the van as well....using the stock (for now) rubber/plastic intake tubing for better flow and much larger surface area for air intake and possibly a larger tube/duct for fresh cool gains with a K&N short ram ....

I do mod but nothing at all to do with the engine of my truck, even if i had a free intake and exhaust or anything I would not put it on or even contemplate it.
I have so far done a pgr mini lift, complete truck/cab dynamat/dynaliner, bad *** high fidelity...

Try disconnecting the positive battery terminal, wait re-key it.
