Q: How Do I Determine If My Amana Refrigerator Is Under Warranty? My Amana Refrigerator stopped working within a few days of purchase. Is it under warranty, and do I return it to the store or directly to Amana?

I am unsure how old the Fridge is. Condenser works. Will not get cold. I did not feel any air coming out of vents in the freezer or fridge so I checked the Evaporator Fan. Not turning, but spins freely.
I tested by hooking up old plug to wires and fan...

Then, I take 1.5" screws, screwed them into the foam to provide strength, and then glued the white plastic lip onto the screws for smoothness and to look nice. .
I tried glue, crazy glue, you name it.

This refrigerator stopped cooling all of a sudden the other day. Freezer was totally defrosted and refrigerator area not cooling. Air is blowing in both compartments. I took back panel off and found;
1) Fan is running
2) Compressor is not running

I changed the freezer setting from 7 to 4.

First thing you need to do is check the temp of the freezer so you can determine if it is the damper acting up or the temp control .
