Amano/ Yamato Shrimp babies this is my 1st time breeding Amano/Yamato shrimp. i found my shrimp is carrying eggs in my planted tank. so i pick her out in a container.. here is the 4th day old babies. i am not sure if i can make it..

I have both amano and cherry shrimp at home, and these were not them.
shrimp in a tank of fifty or so amano shrimp, and side by side they were very clearly not amano think not a random mutant either.

Nerites will eat green spot algae though! Yeah...
Amanos will eat hair algae though, quite readily as long as there isn't any other food in the tank.
They don't.

Ive got a planted tank and was thinking of adding some amano shrimp, but there is no top to the tank will the shrimp be ok? and will it be ok adding tropica plant nutrition+ ?

I have known my female amano to go for a walk across high the shrimp get out and you find....
Tpn+ will be ok just watch your nitrate levels to the top of the tank they should be fine .
Loads of people have shrimp in open topped tanks.

Are amano shrimp as good as plecos at eating algae? I'm transferring my bristlenose from my ten gallon to my twenty gallon. I wanted to know if 2-3 amano shrimp and a group of cherry shrimp could keep it as clean as he did.

How long do amano shrimp live? I have had mine for about 18 months and one of them is looking a little pink and moving slowly. Just wondering if it is dying from old age or from my negligence of the tank. The other one is looking fine.
