Can you buy 22lr ammo at 18? I was told that you cannot buy pistol callibre ammunition if you are under the age of 21 (which sucks because I was given a pistol as a present from a family member and have to ask someone to buy me pistol ammo which is ackward...

The best thing you could do is ask where you intend to purchase..
Most places allow you to purchase .22LR when you are 18, but some stores will refuse.
That depends on where you buy it.
Is buying local the cheapest place to buy ammo...is that how all of you buy your ammo? does anyone buy online -- if so, where? Thanks!

I can't find anywhere that can beat Walmart's prices.
AIM Surplus has Aguila 9mm for it, reloading is really the way to go .
You definitely save a lot on defensive ammo online.
Deals can be found.
All i want to do is try 2 boxes federal flitecontrol 00 buckshot and a box of super hot agulia .22lr. midway wants to charge me 9 bucks shipping. i can't find either ammo around town or gunshows.

Otherwise I always buy ammoIMO, If I were you I would either buy those couple of things with a larger order of other ammo you....
And you can usually get free or discounted shipping if you time it right.

I usually go to Wal Mart for target ammo the cash to buy....
LGS for .25 cal as they have it cheaper than all of the above (if you can believeMost of the time I don't have the cash to buy in bulk.

Russian steel-cased ammo is available in 5.56, if you use that, but brass-cased, less of shipping.

First off if you can afford all that you should be able to afford good ammo.
Can you find a local reloader? I buy quite a bit steel rounds.

You can shoot rifled slugs through your smoothbore barrel, and it will give you about 50-60 yards to hunt with....
You can hunt almost any animal on earth with a 12 gauge shotgun, depending on what shells you use.

Between the import from DoJ, and visitor's permit from PSNI ....
To purchase ammo in the North when living in the South you need an import license form the DoJ, and a visitor's pass from the PSNI to carry the ammo while in the North.
When you stack boxes of ammo on top of each other, how much is "safe" to stack? Is it possible for bullet setback on the lower boxes? I have different brands of ammo for each caliber and don't want to dump one type of caliber into one ammo can.

Even the ammo cans I have are pretty tall so I can stack multiple boxes.
I buy my ammo by the case to offset shipping will take up more room.
