When I mix liquid portland cement with gravel soaked with water containing ammonium nitrate fertilizer, it produces an enormous amount of ammonia gas. What is the reaction happening here?

Soil Nitrate test done just the other day. is there a recomendation chart for nitrogen on corn . Ive got the readings ranging from 36 to 120 ppm. This farm had manure applied Januray 8th. Thanks

Is that the nitrate number or nitrate N number?Was that a 10" sample? If it is nitrate N and a 10" sample the 120ppm would convert to 360 lbs of N/acre.
Those are high levels.
