FWIW, Ansel.
It was a ton of his photographs that he had given his that made you stop and look for five minutes to take in all of the detail and lighting .

The thing about Ansel Adams isn't the negative so much as the print more research...
Prints are controlled totally by the Ansel
Adams Publishing Rights Trust, but in a brief search that had a photo department.

After more research... Ansel Adams donated prints and
negatives to several institutions. Apparently the
largest donation (but it certainly was not "all" of his
work) was donated to the University of Arizona Center
for Photography...
