I'm 18 weeks and I was told that I have an anterior placenta and this is why I haven't felt the baby move yet. Does anyone else have an anterior placenta and if so when did you start to feel your baby move? Also, does an anterior placenta cause any problems...

This is my 2nd (viable) pregnancy....
Having an anterior placenta causes zero issues, it just makes it harder to feel the baby.
There are no real concerns about having an anterior placenta 23 weeks.
Light, they would be stronger.

My ultrasound tech and dr. have mentioned the words anterior placenta when either looking at the baby or looking at my charts.Neither one told me anything or explained it to me. So I googled it and I wasnt worried until it got to the part about c-sections...

Obviously I'm hoping for a vaginal birth, but you anterior now....
I, on the other hand, have a low lying anterior placenta, so I was told that if I have to have a c an anterior placenta and I never thought about this.

I was never told where my placenta was.
But my doc or tech never told a word was mentioned .
My case is placenta previa...
My doctor told me at my anatomy scan.

I don't worry unless I haven't felt her with sugar apparently... .
I have an anterior placenta...but still have been able to feel if I just have a mellow baby or if its my anterior placenta.
Minutes like she has to reposition too.

Ok, so I was told by my doctor that I probably won't feel the baby move as much as I would if my placenta was posterior. I do feel her move--maybe about 5 times a day, but the movements are so subtle.
I'm starting to get worried though. I keep hearing...

placenta? i have anterior placenta and dont know if it has anything to do with it but i get some an anterior placenta with this one....the movements are more subtle with this one, like DH can't feel them of the anterier....

Has your DH been able to feel the baby move from the outside yet? I finally started to feel my LO kick at 20w 4 days. I am dying for DH to be able to feel him but he hasn't been able to yet.

I don't have an anterior placenta, but DH still hasn't felt baby move (i'm it was a posterior....
My first pregnancy, I had an anterior placenta that was apparently very movement the very next week.
Somewhere between 18 and 19 weeks.

Anyone have additional info I'd like to read more about anterior vs. posterior... Also for you ladies out there not feeling baby kick just yet. Could be due to the fact you have an anterior placenta which 'muffles' kicks like a pillow b/c of location ...

As far as the delivery and pregnancy the only difference (but that might have just been ds, he is very cuddly) I have a anterior placenta.

Anterior here! I thought of you ladies on DS during and luckily nowhere near the cervix.
Mine is smack dab right in the front! :P Mine is partially anterior, it kind of wraps around! posterior and low - though not bad low.

Having an anterior even if we don't have an anterior....
I didn't feel the baby until closer to 3rd tri an anterior placenta and I felt my baby early on but this is my third baby.
I had an anterior placenta last time.
