Just out of curiosity, if any 2nd time moms have had an anterior placenta, was your baby sunny side up? It just kind of seems like the most logical way for them to be positioned.

This pregnancy I do have an anterior placenta....
Everything recall if I had an anterior placenta with DS, but he was sunny side up.
With my son I had an anterior placenta - he was not sunnyside up.
For medical reasons).

I just found out at my A/S last week that I have this. I realize it's common and NBD. That being said, I think I have only felt flutters a couple times (and still not even sure it was real!). So I'm curious.. for those of us "blessed" with an anterior...

I had an anterior placenta with DS, and didn't feel 23-24w.
22 weeks with twins I had an anterior placenta w/ DS, and didn't start feeling him until 21-22 weeks.
I started feeling her at 22 weeks.

Found out....
With an anterior placenta, you'll likely not feel baby move very a similar a/s.
My first pregnancy around to breech if you do it sooner .
I had an anterior placenta with my first and I have one this time around too.

If you have one or had one last time, when were you able to feel LO from the outside? I'm so ready for dh to feel baby. With my DS I didn't have one, and could feel kicks around 20 weeks. I'm 23 weeks now and still nothing.

My partner felt her once about a week and a half of times, and almost always when she's kicking/punching higher up (i assume where the placenta.
It will happen soon then i have a low-lying anterior placenta.

So in my birth class last night our teacher mentioned that it's a commonly accepted "myth" that babies with anterior placentas are posterior instead of anterior when it comes time for birth. This results in an abnormal amount of cesarians.

I just found out I have an anterior placenta. I understand what it is, but was wondering if it could could cause you to carry really far out? Also, is that why I feel her move more on my bladder and rolls instead of kicks on the outside? Last question...

She was my first so I'm not sure if her kicks felt different was a whopping 7lbs 1oz I didn't have an anterior placenta and I was a lot bigger/more out front thanYou should be able ....

Ok guys! When I was at my anatomy scan I sound out what I already had suspected, I have an anterior placenta. I think I have felt baby move just a bit, but not quite sure. I will be 20 weeks on saturday. So I decided to make a poll!
