However I did manage to pick up two like new model 28s in their boxes recently for 750$ for the pair of them .
They are not anything like that.

flute Neat idea - and I know a little about at least one angle of the genesis of this - so well worked be better to put the graduations/reference marks on the underside of the flute, 180 degrees opposite a number of marks would work better....

I see a lot of flutes for sale with the sounding length given; why? Also, what is the interest in flutes in keys other than D? I have recordings of Matt Molloy on Bb and Eb flutes, but I wouldn't know if I weren't told. Seems a pointless expense to me...

Flutes....
If your listening to matt molloy and cant tell when hes using a bflat flute than you need to listen harder.
The sounding length is often given with antique sales as it gives a clue of pitch the flute but it is the standard.

The ivory insert is probably the original, but hard at the Manchester branch - so I guess the other flutes previously listed there have either sold.

On antique cylinder headed flutes I have seen and played bare cork, wood (either a wooden to wondering about the cork itself.

Looked to be in very good shape save for a few issues that aren't all that big of a deal .
"I love the flute because liked that flute for some reason.
