Its a shame that these arn't classed as antique in the UK, because its .303 it's in the same class as the SMLE and hope for an official reply letter that....
That would make any BSA&M marked guns antique.
IIRC, BSA&M reverted to BSA in 1897.

Triplett & Scott and it's a rimfire!.
But you twist all one way - the cartridge is ejected as it turns to pick up the next round - @ about 90° it ejects, @ 180° it picks up the next round, then swing it back .
Triplett & Scott - Civil War issue.
