Some that may work with jackated bullets won't order rifles over the years,however he never bought one where the seller said the bore was "very good I describe rifles....
Not a collector I am suspicious of any antique rifles bore.

Its a shame that these arn't classed as antique in the UK, because its .303 it's in the same class as the SMLE and hope for an official reply letter that....
That would make any BSA&M marked guns antique.
IIRC, BSA&M reverted to BSA in 1897.

You guys have always been patient with me and I consider you experts in the field of rifles. I was at my favorite gun shop yesterday and a guy brought in a bunch of guns he inherited to be appraised. All antiques, rabbit ear stuff, a couple of trap doors...

and it's a rimfire!.
But you twist all one way - the cartridge is ejected as it turns to pick up the next round - @ about 90° it ejects, @ 180° it picks up the next round, then swing it back .
