Anyone know the correct definition of Vintage? vs. 'Antique'? If one says 'vintage' in a description can it mean antique? Or is 'vintage just from the mid-20th century? I received a 'negative' feedback (my first) because the buyer thought the item was...

CA DMV defines an automobile as antique if it is at least 39 years old.
BTW, "antique" is specific to the item, just as 12 years is "old" for a dog, but "young" for a person.

Cool thing I learned today. In Va. You now can drive a car or truck that is 25 or more years old Anytime now, without restrictions so long as its withen 300 miles of your home for "pleasure" purposes on a tagged antique ride. Buy the tag once, never have...

We have antique tags in TN but a whole lot of ghetto sleds of manufacturing) but you have to have it registered as an antique and keep the antique tag in the car.
Stickers and you keep your same plates.

Starting Jan 1, 2012, Sec of State will have a new unlimited antique vehicle plate. It's $45 per year (more than antique plates, but 1/2 reg price). From April - Oct, there's unlimited driving about so you won't have to come up with a car show or service...

In Ohio, vehicle registration renewals are the same as your birthday. Mine will be coming up the first of March so I just went online and renewed them all. I think that registrations in Ohio are fairly reasonable compared to some states. I'm just curious...

That is for my car and my were newer we'd be paying upwards of $300 but since our car is coming towards antique status (in 2016 it will be classed an antique....
vehicle registration is $84 due on the day you first registered them each year.

This one will need more than a little buffing. Advertised on the local Craigslist, I went to see this 1926-27 (?) Big 6 hearse in Little Compton, RI, about 25 minutes from my house. It must have been impressive in its day, but that was a long time ago...
