If a antique clock is repainted will it lose value if sold?

If any antique is refinished, it should be by someone who knows about antiques. They definitely lose value if they are refinished. Many people have lost a lot of money by refinishing an antique when they went to sell them. source

Swiss 1889 antique status?

I recently tried to purchase a swiss 1889 rifle from an online dealer. The dealer stated that the rifle is not an antique and must be shipped to an FFL. Were some 1889 rifles produced after 1898 or is this dealer misinformed? source

Can you send Antique Firearms out of the country?

I bought an 1879 Reichsrevolver from a fellow in Canada. He send it in the mail with the customs form plainly stating "Antique Firearm" and it came here via US Mail. If you can send them in, I would guess you can send them out. source

Low band HT-200 with PL is covered in one manual. There were not different manuals for every number in the suffix. The last digits of the model suffix are generally unimportant. They are not rare or unusual and date from 1963-70. Ones with PL are a bit harder to find than the carrier squelch style. source
