Does Apple still do flat-rate repairs on their computers? I have a client with a 1ghz TiBook DVI, which I'm pretty sure needs a new logic board and I'm wondering if anyone has an idea of what Apple charges for this fix.

Apple repairs are generally never cheap, unless you find the part on eBay -- or someone from the Apple....
I am not too sure, but didn't Apple do those "tier" type repairs in the past?

I sent my macbook out for repairs because all of a sudden my opperating system would not boot and was in a weird cycle. Before sending it out for repairs I went to the apple store thinking they would have an awnser, they said the logic board is messed...

Basically I turn on the laptop and it shows the apple logo then a circle with a line through to bring the unit back to the repair ....
If apple ran diagnostics on it (Apple Service Diagnostic) they should be able to save drive.

I am having the same concern and the customer service technician wasn't being helpful. i explained to multiple people that after speaking with apple, they described it as a hardware issue. however, the geek squad techician described it as a software issue...
