My 11 year old daughter just got her Herbst appliance yesterday to correct her overjet
appliance and then will have braces to straighten everything up.

I've heard that the TAP is newer than the HERBST.
Does anyone know if the the TAP is a better
is it can be titrated to ideal position in the sleep lab. No other appliance can. Once this position
is found you can make a herbst of many designs or one of more than 50 FDA approved appliances

I have been using a dental appliance, made by a sleep apnea/TMJ specialist, for my sleep apnea
about a month for me to have the dental appliance adjusted properly so that it was comfortable. Does
weeks of using this appliance that I'm noticing some slight change in the contact points of my teeth

Ortho decided a herbst would be the best way to go. I am now 3 days in and my jaw pain is much more
