I was arrested and charged for ABH. The charges were dropped and the case was dismissed on the day of the trial. My criminal record is clear and I have no convictions.
Despite being arrested, should I apply for a B2 visa or just go ahead with the VISA...

My father-in-law already has a B1/B2 visa valid until 2015. I am planning on sending an invite for my in-laws to visit USA.
Do I have to apply for a B2 visa for him again, or is the existing B1/B2 visa valid.
