I would much rather fight the fee, I had many problems with appraisal companies.
And wasting time with homeowners that NEEDED certain values.

For banks that have traditionaly used the value from tax bill for a valuation form smaller loans (i.e. use the fair market value for seconds and HELOCs), have you made any changes to this approach based on this section of the 2010 Appraisal Guidelines...
