Mostly this is healing based. Why is it that when people need a healer for something they need "Babysitting"? This is silly. Divine classes like clerics and favored souls, and to a lesser degree bards, rangers and paladins all get spells for healing people...

That these classes cannot heal themselves with potions or scrolls as effectively as a cleric or favored soul heal effectively on a barbarian or fighter is generally a sign of good player skills.
