Armor

For historical purposes, I built several brigades and attached them to panzer corps HQs. This served a dual purpose of being a secondary armor reserve as well as the radio range boost. During attacks, I can now throw in the HQ without fear of them being destroyed. The only downside is HQ and HA speed will not allow them to keep up with my ARM divisions when advancing. source

I am currently wearing a mixture of Sent and Conq gear. In your oppinion what is the best armor set or combo of armor to wear? source

The weight of the armor that slows you while worn is already accounted for in it's speed penalty. Only the weight of gear carried applies to the encumbrance. Test it with any character in the character builder, even the demo version. source

You should switch to heavy armor as soon as possible. Besides the benefits already mentioned here, the stats on heavy armor are typically more in line with what a Champ needs. source

The chestplates, at least, seem to be some sort of superdense metal, from what we see in the aftermath of Shinji's first attempt to fight the 5th. They merely deformed under prolonged exposure to Ramiel's blast, which completely and almost instantaneously vaporised the armored buildings it punched through. source
